GLISTEN
GPCR-Ligand Interactions, Structures, and Transmembrane Signalling:
a European Research Network

Work group meeting and Workshop

October 7-9, 2013, Warsaw, Poland
Biological and Chemical Research Centre

G protein-coupled receptors (GPCRs) are the largest family of proteins involved in signal transduction across cell membranes and because of that they are also the most frequently used drug targets in pharmaceutical research and industry. GLISTEN network brings together scientists specializing in various complementary methods to unravel details of the activation mechanism, ligand binding, and the effect of the membrane on properties of GPCRs. The work groups within the network focus their attention on particular aspects of GPCRs:

Lectures on the above topics will be presented during the workshop and four research groups from the GLISTEN network will conduct trainings on selected computational procedures including homology modelling, dynamics and drug discovery.
